SSDE strongly depends on the water-equivalent diameter (D W ). In abdominal CT examinations, contrast agent sometimes used to more clearly visualize tissue lesions. Hounsfield unit (HU) images with and without use at specific areas slightly different it may affect D value. This study aimed compare values calculated from axial patients who had undergone routine scans both agent. Axial 144 weight range 3.5 kg 90 using Siemens Sensation 64 scanner were retrospectively collected. automatically Matlab-based IndoseCT (version 15a) software. results show percentage difference between W,contrast W,non - below 2 %. As result, mean 1.5 % smaller than non . Due effect value s %, abdomen can be as accurate Roman","serif"; mso-ansi-language:EN-ID; mso-fareast-language:EN-US;}

Prevalence of Idiopathic Osteosclerosis on Cone Beam Computed Tomography Images
Objectives: This study was performed to investigate the prevalence of idiopathic osteosclerosis on cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) images of patients. Methods: In this descriptive, cross-sectional study, 240 CBCT scans of patients (125 women, 115 men) referred to a private oral and maxillofacial radiology clinic in Tehran in 2013 were selected and evaluated. Presence of idiopathic osteosc...
متن کامل[Performance evaluation of computed tomography with equivalent resolution images].
A method of evaluating the performance of computed tomography (CT) with equivalent resolution images was investigated. Generally, in performance evaluations of CT, the resolution property is measured by the wire method, and the noise property is measured from noise images of a cylindrical water phantom. The signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is then calculated for the integrated evaluation. Our propos...
متن کاملa comparison of teachers and supervisors, with respect to teacher efficacy and reflection
supervisors play an undeniable role in training teachers, before starting their professional experience by preparing them, at the initial years of their teaching by checking their work within the proper framework, and later on during their teaching by assessing their progress. but surprisingly, exploring their attributes, professional demands, and qualifications has remained a neglected theme i...

Introduction: The present study was conducted with the aim of designing a liver phantom for dosimetry. To benchmark the results obtained by the developed liver phantom, another method was applied for the dosimetry of a real liver tissue using imaging. Materials and Methods: For the purpose of the study, a real liver tissue was converted into a phantom based on thegram-molecular weight of the co...
متن کاملContrast Media in Abdominal Computed Tomography: Optimization of Delivery Methods
OBJECTIVE To provide a systematic overview of the effects of various parameters on contrast enhancement within the same population, an animal experiment as well as a computer-aided simulation study was performed. MATERIALS AND METHODS In an animal experiment, single-level dynamic CT through the liver was performed at 5-second intervals just after the injection of contrast medium for 3 minutes...
